I remember, it was back in about 2000 or 2001 and it was Pauls first time in SLC. There was a big spotlight outside of the club and a line around the building. I had never seen anything like it. The opening DJ was getting the crowd fired up (I even remember fire jugglers dancing to Sandstorm. haha) Then we heard "Animal" and we knew Oakie had hit the decks. It was so amazing!!
But the most memorable for me was probably his 2nd time he came to SLC, I think it was in 2002 (I still have the fliers saved somewhere, I'll have to double check the dates on them). I was sitting in one of the lounge areas at the club while the opening DJ was playing. Then I heard someone say that Oakenfold was downstairs, so I went downstairs and sure enough, he was just hanging out and there was like NOBODY around him (except maybe a bouncer or two). So my friends and I went up to him and got to shake his hand and get his autograph. Paul was so nice and it was a pleasure talking to him. I have met him a couple of times since then and have seen him live several times. Paul is SOOO amazing!!- Reply

Find myself heading down to Rain @ the palms at least once every couple months to see him now as well. Think, about 3 times in Salt Lake in the last year and a half or so. Few of us are down to drive, love hitting his shows. Looking forward to new years @ Rain, and Sundance in Park City/Salt Lake!
